This is my current demo reel of effects. I performed all effects from start to finish. Techniques used (often in combination) include but are not limited to: wire removal, background replacement, actor/crew/equipment removal, digital paint, rotoscoping, chroma key, 2/3D motion tracking, matte painting, grain matching, etc.

This is a small sample of the many hundreds of shots I have completed to date, on time and within budget.

Architectural illustrations placing 3D models into existing environments
Category: Demo videos
These are a sereis of architectural renderings I made to illustrate what proposed structures would look like when completed, with landscaping and foot traffic. I began with the CAD files from the architects, the blueprints of the development and the color plans from the architects. Most of the trees are 3D objects, deliberately thinned to emphasize the buildings.

Wire removal for Burn Notice

This is a classic wire removal sequence. First we see the wire, then we do not. Good times!

Mural painting removal from background for Burn Notice
Category: Burn Notice digital effects
I created a fake wall in Photoshop, tracked it in, matched the color and exposure changes in each clip, matched the blur and grain, then rotoscoped the character back in.

Composite removal of crew from background for The Fall of Sam Axe
Category: Burn Notice digital effects
This shot required painting a matte for nearly the entire background, tracking it in place, adding some smoke particle effects, matching the grain and rotoscoping the actor back in. I also added the first muzzle flare and changed the frame of the second muzzle flare.
